Big Fish

Current Mood: Plumb tuckered out.

We have been going non-stop since last Monday, but it has been loads of fun. Two of my nieces, my grandma, and my aunt visited for some California fun.

Here's the recap:

Monday: Swimming all day long
Tuesday: Wild Animal Park and hotel
Wednesday: Sea World
Thursday: Swimming all day long and crafts
Friday: Knott's Berry Farm,
Saturday: Movies, Swimming, and crafts

Jeff had to work and couldn't come with us on the outings so he went on his own outing Friday night and Saturday. Here are the results of that outing:

A company he works with invited him on a deep sea fishing trip in Mexico, all expenses paid. He caught a 20 lb yellow tail and a 30 lb tuna. They cleaned and filleted the fish for him, so if anyone likes fresh tuna...

Our favorite highlights:

Haley: the dolphin show at Sea World.

Nicole: Snoopy on ice

Addison: catching up on sleep the days in between

Jeff: catching the biggest fish on the boat

Me: seeing everyone's amusements

musings...

Current Mood: Recovering from craziness

If my posts are lacking, it's usually because our lives are crazy. Crazy busy or crazy crazy. The past few days have been an example of crazy crazy. Let's see... we've had broken fences, sunburns, multiple bed-wetting (we're going back to the night time pull-ups), midnight toddler bedfellows, term papers, blowout diapers, falling down stairs, job interviews, 7am church meetings, chocolate frosting paint, hospital bills, an egg incident, body stamping (a new art form Nicole has invented), and birthday celebrations. And I'm pretty sure all of that has happened since last Friday. The mint chocolate chip ice cream beckons...thus solving the conundrum of the failed attempts to return to pre-pregnancy (all three of them) body.

Who knew having three children could be so...crazy. Mom, how did you have 5. Grandma, I'm not going to even contemplate the complexities of 11.

Today I feel like recovering. So I will focus on the things that keep me sane: Addison's new little laugh, the way Coley says hotgog (hot dog), Haley telling me she loves me ten times a day (no lie) and Jeff's smile (cheesy, huh).

Blessings

Current mood: calm

Addison was blessed yesterday, and even though both Jeff and I had to teach lessons, get the kids ready for church and be on time (difficult for us) and deal with a tired, grumpy Nicole, we had a peaceful day.

It was nice to have friends and family over in the afternoon to share with us such a special day.

I always enjoy the blessings of our children because it gives me the time to ponder on their unique personalities. Addison is a sweet, beautiful baby. She is very easy-going and tolerates well the prodding of her big sisters. She smiles a lot and makes our home a little bit happier. She truly is a blessing in our lives.
