Since my last post, Jeff's sister, Allison, got married, Haley turned 5, and Jeff was in a lovely car accident. And I'm still pregnant.
The wedding was beautiful, and the girls enjoyed getting dressed up and playing with cousins and second cousins.

Our nephew, Jakob. This pic belongs in a magazine.

For Haley's 5th birthday she took some friends to see Horton Hears a Who, and had one set of extended family over for dinner and cake. The other set were recovering from a whirlwind trip to Ireland. Her favorite phrase these days is "I can do anything I want because I'm 5 now." Only when it really irks me do I try to correct her and let her know that really she can only do what mommy says is okay. I'm not sure which one of us is the delusional one.
Nicole has adjusted quite well to her hard cast. Yup, we replaced the soft one for a hard one because she is an escape artist and was able to remove even the duct-taped version. She gets it removed today, and whenever I remind her of that she seems very bothered by the prospect of losing her cast. Dunno why.
The car accident Jeff was involved in left him without a functional car. We're still waiting to find out if the Passat will be totalled or not. Luckily he is fine despite the general body soreness. He has seen a massage therapist and chiropractor twice now, but he should be fine. The accident was not his fault, so hopefully our financial obligation in all this will be minimal. Yeah right :)
And me...according to Jeff, I'm nesting. No I just need to make sure every nook and cranny of the baby's room is clean before she comes home...Lysol wipes are a wonderful invention. They even have the ability of involving a 5 and 2 year old in the cleaning process. They are both excited about helping mommy with baby sister. Haley often kisses my belly and Nicole seems to think that my belly button is the baby's mouth...
Well, if I follow past practice my next post will be post-baby. We shall see...
